Conservation Education

The District is active in a variety of educational programs and events. It is part of our mission to foster natural resource conservation and environmental stewardship, and education is a import component. A public that is more knowledge about our natural resources is more likely to conserve them. Our educational programs target both adult and children through workshops, field days, and other special events.

Many educational programs that we participate in or host are annual events, such as Tippecanoe County Ag Days, Cole Elementary’s Amazing Race, the Tippecanoe County 4-H Fair, Make a Splash, Women Caring for the Land, and Outdoor Explore.

At this time, the District is limited in our ability to offer additional educational programs. Other local sources for environmental education programming include the Tippecanoe County Partnership for Water QualityTippecanoe County Parks and Recreation Department, and Prophetstown State Park.
